While it’s hard to deny the convenience of a pre-made, store-bought marinade, they are often highly processed and lose their potency (and flavour) the longer they sit on the shelf. Plus, they are usually filled with preservatives and sugar!
So, opt out of picking up a store-bought option and create your own rich flavours with a just few fresh ingredients and plant-based oil flavours!
In our previous blog, Quick Salad Dressings we gave you a number of fresh ideas for making essential oil infused salad dressings. These recipes are the perfect inspiration for your next weekend BBQ or entertaining evening!
Marinade tips:
The key to marinating like a pro is timing! Marinade for two hours or less for a lighter, surface flavour. Marinade for 8-24 hours for a fully-infused flavour.
Keep in mind that the thicker the cut of protein, the longer it will take to absorb the flavour. When using Plus oils, always marinade in a glass or stainless-steel container.
