Special Interests: prevention and rehabilitation of running injuries, acute and chronic neck and back pain, postural syndromes and tendon pain.
Since first graduating in Canada over 10 years ago, Robyn has worked and studied abroad in the UK, New Zealand and Australia until finally settling in Auckland this year. During this time, she has gained valuable experience in exercise rehabilitation for pre and post operative spinal injuries, advanced techniques in manual therapy, and Clinical Pilates for pre & post natal rehabilitation and conditions such as scoliosis, patellofemoral pain, back and neck pain.
Robyn utilizes the ergonomic and biomechanical training of her kinesiology degree (NZ equivalent to biomedical physiology and biomechanics), with the better-known gems of her physiotherapy degree and skills in critical analyses from her masters’ degree to deliver the best evidence-based care for her patients. Her motivation in identifying the correct diagnosis hinges on her passion for delivering the best outcomes. She prefers to combine hands-on therapy with exercise rehabilitation to deliver individualized treatment allowing return to activity, work and living.
Robyn has recently published her masters’ research on the preparedness of new graduates for practicing physiotherapy in private practice and hopes to do further research alongside her clinical practice in the future.
