Helen has had extensive Pilates training including completing her Polestar Pilates rehabilitation training in 2012. She uses manual physiotherapy and her Pilates skills concurrently to treat both acute and overuse injuries, which she finds a great combination.
Pilates has done wonders on her own body to improve her hockey, running and surfing along with her many clients. She believes it allows people to take control of their bodies, to gain enduring strength, well-being and resolution from pain.
Helen has a keen interest in sports specific injuries, particularly running, lumbo-pelvic conditions, hip pain and biomechanical assessment. She believes in a holistic approach, striving always to find a cause, work towards prevention and teach her clients about their body and the root problem.
